transfer buddyPress groups and associated activities to WPForo forums?

Is it possible to transfer buddyPress groups and associated activities to WPForo forums? And if so, how?
So far I have only found the possibility to display WPForo posts in BuddyPress groups - the other way around.
I had tested the migration with the plugin Go2wpForo variant: bbPress to wpForo.

Table wp_wpforo_mg2wpforo doesn't exist

Hello all, I have installed the migration tool and started the migration, the users get created, the forums get created, but then it doesn't really move on the topics section (I have a 55,314 topics, but it never seems to move past 1%on the status bar.

When I look at the logs, I see this error repeated over and over:

" WordPress database error Table 'p15-1.wp_wpforo_mg2wpforo' doesn't exist for query SELECT new_id FROM `wp_wpforo_mg2wpforo` WHERE obj = 'topic' AND old_id = 6307 made by require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), do_action('init'), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, wpforo\wpforo->init, do_action('wpforo_after_init'), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, go2wpforo\Main->do_actions, go2wpforo\Main->do_topics, go2wpforo\Main->get_new_id, wpforo_ram_get, wpforo\classes\RamCache->call_user_func, call_user_func_array, go2wpforo\Main->_get_new_id"

When I look at wpforo > tools > Database Tables there is also in red text the message " Table wp_wpforo_mg2wpforo doesn't exist"

I have tried uninstalled mg2wpforo and installing v 3.0 instead of 3.1 and the same problem. Please help? can you send me the correct sql to create the table even?

Import very slow. What to expect?

I'am about to migrate from bbPress to wpForo but I have notices this will take some time.

Therefor I have deployed a new bare metal server with the fastest CPU I could find but it's still very slow. It started ok but the rate have gone down and I think the total time will be at least 3 days to finish.

CPU 8 cores with single core speed/rate of 3500, 128Gb mem and SSD disks.

A new fresh install of Wordpress with wpforo and the import is from another database.

Only one CPU is in use of course but no IO wait.

Is there something to be done to speed things up?

Tuning of mariadb, tuning opcache. Should I use redis object cache or not etc.

I have noticed that the server is set to multithread but I think it should be better to turn that off in BIOS.

Any tips are welcome!

Hello,
I did the migration which went well.
When I want to migrate the attachments with the bba2wpf.php page I only have errors.
In bba2wpf.php I changed line 14 "$wpdb->prefix."mg2wpforo`"' to "$wpdb->prefix."wpforo_mg2wpforo`"' and it works (see image).
However, I do not see the attachments on my wpforo.

Do you have an idea ?

Switching from bbPress to wpForo 2.0. Things to watch out for?

Just thought I would get my first post on this board since I am switching to this software myself.

I will be moving from bbPress over to wpForo 2. In looking at the Q&A in this section, it appears most is all from the 1.* version of wpForo. So I just thought I would ask about any potential issues switching over with this new version. Will all the tools to migrate work well? Go2wpForo? Redirect2wpForo?

Any input and thoughts would be great!

I was not sure where to post this. I am betting someone out there can show me an example of what to input for Go2wpForo in the BBPRESS Database Connection form. Particularly for the Database Host - I want to make sure I get the syntax right. But examples of all the fields would be great. Attached is a screen shot:

Does the wpforo migration tool support topic view counts?

Hello Everyone

Last night I did a test migration of BBpress and noticed that all of the view counts for every post/thread have been set to zero.

Is there a way I can capture this during the migration process? With either editing the migration script or setting something in BBpress or wpforo or the migration tool?

Migration OK but no tags and blocked users

Hello,

I migrated from bbpress and everything seems fine.

I noticed it didn't import any tags ("topic-tag" in my bbp) and imported all users only as subscribers, forgetting about the blocked/banned ones.

Any advice, please?
