What I can suggest is you install it, and then just follow the documentation.  It's going to be fun!  You'll learn a lot!  :-) 

I would suggest that you DO NOT customize anything in the Forum YET, until you are more familiar with how it works.  Good luck!  :-)

When I first installed my first wpForo Forum I only read the https://wpforo.com/documentation/ and it all worked out - out of the box.  So you can install it, too!  :-) 

You can customize the colors of the website to fit the colors of your website, you can find the info on how to do that on the same documentation, specifically this article: 

https://wpforo.com/docs/root/wpforo-settings/style-settings/

And then after you've installed wpForo, and if you have questions, just use the SEARCH box in the forum, most of the "newbie" questions have been asked and answered by the amazing Support Team Members here and other community members, too!
