We'll change the editor to something newer and lighter in the future, for sure. But the Gutenberg will not be an option. It's a heavy software for page building, it does not suit well for discussions.

Perfect solution! Gutenberg is not needed.

Seeing the Gutenberg cut-down/stripped version WP uses in their primitive forums, i see no heavyness anywhere.

Gutenberg is starting to be adopted in other scripts also (Drupal for example) and it would be nice to have the same editor interface. Comments, blog posts, forums, anywhere.

Is something that wpForo will adopt at somepoint?
