Hi kv1,

Great question! I can see you've already started disabling the admin notifications, but you'll need to go a bit further to completely block all user-facing emails. Based on the forum content available, there are specific hooks you can use to disable each type of email notification that wpForo sends to regular users.

Here's a step-by-step approach to disable all user email notifications:

First, continue with the Email Settings you've already started. Make sure all notification toggles are set to "No" in the wpForo settings panel.

Next, add the following code filters to your theme's
functions.php
file or a custom code plugin. These hooks will disable specific notification types at the code level:

// Disable mention notifications
add_filter( 'break_wpforo_mention_send_email', '__return_true' );

// Disable new topic subscription notifications
add_filter( 'break_wpforo_subscriber_send_email_after_add_topic', '__return_true' );

// Disable other subscription-related emails
add_filter( 'break_wpforo_subscriber_send_email', '__return_true' );

After adding these filters, test by having a user create a post in a subscribed forum and mention another user to verify no emails are being sent.

Check your site's email logs or have a test user monitor their inbox to confirm all notifications have been blocked.

The code-level filters provide a more comprehensive solution than the settings alone, as they intercept the email sending process directly. This ensures that even if a user has notifications enabled in their profile, the emails won't actually be sent. Have you already tried adding these filters, or would you like clarification on where exactly to place this code?
