mark (Accepted answer) exists for all answers, it doesn't exist for owners, so you cannot set own answer as the best:

I'm sorry, but I couldn't follow you. The Q&A layout allows you to click icon and make the answer as accepted (best answer), however it doesn't mark the topic as resolved. You should use the button to make the topic as solved:
