Thank you for the clarification. We weren't sure if that was something that they needed to edit their own profile. I'm not sure why it affected the moderation though.

Hmm... Why have you enabled this for regular users?

The "Dashboard - Can edit member" allows editing all users account information in dashboard. This is an admin and moderator permission, we've added "dashboard" prefix saying this should not be allowed for users who don't have dashboard access.

If your new registered users cannot edit their account, you should set "0" the "Min number of posts to be able to edit profile information" option value in wpForo > Settings > Spam Protection admin page

Dashboard - Can edit member must be unchecked for Registered/Subscriber users. As it is Dashboard functionality.

@robert It looks like we may have solved it by editing the default usergroup and changing the "Dashboard - Can edit member" to Unchecked.

Does this mean that users can't edit their own profiles?

We changed this number to 5 and then it stopped working all together. (see attached)

Hey @robert

We often use the moderation tab under the WPForo menu. We have new users joining almost daily and they are not being held in moderation.

We haven't installed any new plugins and it was working up until we increased the number of posts kept in moderation to 5 and then it broke.

1. Are you sure the posts are not unapproved? It seems the "Awaiting moderation" message was changed or hidden. Why you think the posts are not set unapproved. The post which are waiting for moderation should have button or icon, if you see this then the post is waiting for approval:

2. Do you know that the moderation only works for the users with "New user" status? Maybe the user you're checking has more than X number of posts, which is set for the "User is New (under hard spam control) during first posts" option in Spam Protection settings.

3. Are you sure you don't have custom code or custom template file in the WordPress active theme directory related to wpForo?

4. Have you tried to temporally disable other plugins? This could be a plugin conflict.
