Β hello guys,

Firstly, absolutely great stuff what you're doing here, and now to my little problem:Β

Normal the board is working great but now I read an topic here in this forum, that you can Β paste someΒ more shortcodes to an separate page... I would like to create an own and separate user profile page, outside from the board, but the included shortcode don't work.Β

That's my history,Β

  1. Create a new page with title user account
  2. Go to this thread to copy the shortcode No.4
  3. Go to my new crater page and paste it
  4. Save and refresh the new pageΒ

Result:Β

There displays the complete board in my new crated user account page, but why?Β

Hope you can help me, I'm using the actual version from your board.Β

Greats Michi

Thank you systematic,

please check it in editor with Text mode and make sure there is no other chares in shortcode, it should look like this:

[wpforo item="profile" id="X"]

Also check your user ID again, make sure the second argument id="X" has correct ID. For example if your user ID is 20 it should look like this: [wpforo item="profile" id="20"]

You can find your user ID in Dashboard > Users admin page, just click on edit button and check it in Address bar:

Oh, okay, than i think there was an missunderstand.
I would to use it for my members as an main overview about there profile, not only for me. If i set the correct id then will show me only and always this profile.. πŸ˜‰ is it possible to set a value where each user see the own profile?

greats

There is no such value, but there is a Profile Page Menu shortcode, you can add a new menu using My ProfileΒ  sortcode URL:

  • My Profile: /%wpforo-profile-home%/
  • Activity: /%wpforo-profile-activity%/
  • Account: /%wpforo-profile-account%/
  • Subscriptions: /%wpforo-profile-subscriptions%/

You can use this shortcodes in Custom Link menu item, not in page content. So you can add a new menu item in any menu bar of your website.
