I'm sorry but this is one of our paid addons. It'll not be integrated with free wpForo plugin. wpForo Emoticons addons will be available as a separate plugin inΒ gVectors StoreΒ once the Stable 1.0.0 wpForo version is released.

I was confused by the above statement. I understand that if people type : ) etc they will get the relevant emoji, my question referred to the fact that 1 year ago you said you were creating an addon as an emoji selector.

The addon is designed to add new emoticons packages. Also it adds emoticons chooser button on topic/post editor.

As it's already mentioned in plugin description and in Settings > Addons pageΒ  wpForo is a premium forum plugin which will always be available for free. There will never be paid and pro versions of this forum board. However this is a very large and hard project so we also develop paid addons (extensions), which will financially help us to keep improving and adding new features to the free wpForo plugin. Forum addons will also be actively developed as separate plugins. The first addons "Advanced File Attachments", "Polls" and "Emoticons" will be available very soon.
