Yoast and Wpforo clash?

Hi wpForo Team,

I am reaching out regarding a compatibility issue between wpForo and the Yoast SEO plugin. While wpForo states that it is compatible with Yoast, I am seeing conflicting SEO data being generated on my forum topic pages, which is causing issues with duplicate meta tags and broken social media previews.

When I inspect the page source of a community forum post, both wpForo and Yoast are actively injecting data into the , rather than wpForo overriding Yoast.

Here is what is currently outputting on a single topic page:

wpForo's Output: wpForo correctly generates its SEO block (``), including the canonical URL, description, Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:url, og:locale, etc.), and Twitter cards.
Yoast's Output: Immediately below that, Yoast tries to output its own data (). Because it cannot read the dynamic forum content, it outputs an admin warning (), but it still injects duplicate tags like og:locale, article:publisher, and Twitter tags.

The Impact: Because both plugins are outputting Open Graph and Twitter card data, social media platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn) are getting confused by the duplicate tags. This results in link previews pulling incorrect formatting or failing to pull the wpForo-generated data.

My Question: Is the built-in Yoast compatibility supposed to automatically disable Yoast's meta output on wpForo pages? If so, it appears to be failing. As a temporary workaround, I have to manually go into Yoast and disable it for the forum's custom post types.

Could your development team look into why Yoast is not cleanly yielding to wpForo's SEO data on topic pages?

There's the option in the settings to use AWS cloud for forums that are larger than 100k. I've selected that. But what exactly does that do? What is being shipped to the cloud and what is not?

Is there a way to remove the message " You are not allowed to attach files on this forum. It is possible that you have not reached the minimum required number of posts, or your user group does not have permission to attach files in this forum."

that shows to users who aren't allowed to attach files?

We'd rather just have this hidden completely and not show the message if a user can't attach files.

In 2026 (but actually, many years ago, since users started visiting sites on mobile, especially Facebook), the key to a forum, in my opinion, is ease of navigation.
All forums, however, are pretty much stuck in the same space as they were 20 years ago.
On mobile (I think 90% of users now visit sites on mobile), wpForo is very chaotic, and in my opinion, only the essentials should remain. Here's a list:

Home Page:

- Section image to delete (or disable for mobile)
- The latest discussions under categories only create chaos; if a user is interested, they can open the category and read them.

Category:

- Category description: remove or add to the discussions;

Discussion:

- Simplify the editor as much as possible
- The "Title" field when replying is unnecessary
- Forum Jump: delete it, since no one uses it anyway
- The section summarizing posts, users, reactions, etc. is very nice, but I'd also move this to the bottom and not the top.
- RSS button: does anyone use RSS feeds for individual threads?

And then, in my opinion, it should also have all the mods included at a reasonable price to encourage users who, for example, want to switch to xenforo.

I believe that to relaunch and encourage users to use WpForo 3, it should have a free basic version (like now) and then a Pro version with all the options (add-ons).
I find having to purchase add-ons separately counterproductive, also because it makes the forum very expensive. If a user wants to spend a lot, they end up opting for xenforo (which objectively is the undisputed best forum today).

I don't know how many add-ons are sold (and, more importantly, how many are renewed), but I believe a Pro license at a reasonable cost would be purchased by a good percentage of WpForo users.
