A topic/post bookmarking system.

Expanded profile functions such as topics started by user, follow user. I would prefer not using BP or UM for these functions.

Integration with a live notification system such as Onesignal or similar.

Ajax auto refresh for recent topics/posts sidebar widget.

The "Unread posts" logic is far too simplistic. When clicking on the unread link it should take the user to the last unread post in a topic, not the last post in the topic. The way it functions now most users will not notice that there were any number of unread posts before the last post.

The "Unread posts" links needs to be sticky across all forums not just the main page so that when mobile users navigate away from the main page they can easily access the function without having to navigate back.

There should be an "add topic" link or button between the forum title and the topics/posts statistics.

Ability to exclude specific forums from recent sidebar widgets feeds.

Forums permissions. No access should mean exactly that, zero sight of the forum. No error or permission notices only a redirect back to the main page.

Fix the topic move/delete logic. When a topic or post is deleted or moved from a simplified layout forum, on the main page it will not show that latest topic created in time order, it will show only a topic with the latest reply, even if that reply was weeks ago even though there are numerous newer, unreplied topics created.

Admin should have the ability to delete user subs from the profile page.

A member's last login date should be displayed under "Joined:" on the forum profile page.

Topic prefixes. Selectable per forum from a predefined list.

The registration system should log the IP address of the registrant which should also be contained in the new member registration notice to admins.

Thank you for suggestions @verek,

Please find my comments bellow...

This is under development, wpForo profile system will be extended and improved totally in future releases.

Integration with a live notification system such as Onesignal or similar.

Already in to-do. No ETA yet.

Ajax auto refresh for recent topics/posts sidebar widget.

May affect website performance. We'll add this in to-do once we got some good solution for this.

The "Unread posts" logic is far too simplistic. When clicking on the unread link it should take the user to the last unread post in a topic, not the last post in the topic. The way it functions now most users will not notice that there were any number of unread posts before the last post.

We'll take this under consideration.

The "Unread posts" links needs to be sticky across all forums not just the main page so that when mobile users navigate away from the main page they can easily access the function without having to navigate back.

You can put Unread Posts menu in top menu bar or in any Menu/Widget using the Menu URL shortcode (/%wpforo-unread%/) : https://wpforo.com/docs/root/getting-started/forum-menu/

There should be an "add topic" link or button between the forum title and the topics/posts statistics.

We'll take this under consideration. The upcoming Threaded Layout comes with such button on forum list. It'll be released very soon.

Ability to exclude specific forums from recent sidebar widgets feeds.

Added in to-do.

Forums permissions. No access should mean exactly that, zero sight of the forum. No error or permission notices only a redirect back to the main page.

This may confuse users, they should understand why that link doesn't open a topic page.

Sure. This is already in to-do list.

wpForo doesn't collect IP addresses. Also the registration function is not wpForo function, it's WordPress core function and all data are performed by WordPress core. wpForo only provides a nice reg/login forum.

Up to now I have been using an ancient plugin to auto refresh the recent posts and recent topic widgets, so far there has been no undue server load with an average 100 concurrent users online. It would probably be better have it in the core though.

Forums permissions. No access should mean exactly that, zero sight of the forum. No error or permission notices only a redirect back to the main page.

Then a redirect with a flash message similar to the "new Pm" message?

I do this already but for mobile users this solution is less than ideal.

I would say that this more than any other thing I have mentioned needs to be fixed. It' no good being taken to the last post in a topic when there are 20 plus unread posts prior to the last post in the topic. This will be especially important when you release threaded replies.

Thank you for your comprehensive reply.

I have to agree, we just moved over to wpforo and this is probably the biggest end-user gripe so far.  To have something that the users can use to jump to the first unread post of the forum would be awesome!

I see things on your wish list that I am wishing for, too! Thanks for posting!

In addition to your list, my wish would be to add Forum member avatars in the Forum topic list, next to their names. Yes, these would be small, but it would be SO MUCH MORE visual than just seeing a user name there.

For example - here is a screenshot of a team I participate in. We LOVE that the original poster avatar is in the left next to the post, and the last person to reply has their avatar on the right. This is SO VISUAL and makes it really easy to identify each other and their posts.

Any chance that could be added in future releases of wpForo?

Please find all forum layouts in documentation:

https://wpforo.com/docs/root/categories-and-forums/forum-layouts/

You're talking about the Topics Page of Simplified Layout:

Avatars in the topic list is there if you choose the "Simplified" category layout Example: https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-showcase/ ). I do suppose that most admins would choose the extended layout though.
