Hi bberry,

The button can be found in the Dashboard section of each board.

For example, if you have two boards, EN Forum and FR Forum, each board has its own button. You can find it on the Dashboard admin page of the corresponding board (Dashboard > EN Forum > Dashboard) under the Forum Maintenance section.

On wpForo > Overview admin page, there isn't an option to . There is only . See attached img file. I deleted user cache.

To be clear, I have two boards, neither of which have "Under Construction" option enabled.

This is not a cock-pit error. It is a bug.

Hi @bberry,

Please navigate to wpForo > Overview admin page, scroll down, find the button and click it.

If you have more than one Board, you should check the settings of each borard and make sure the Under Construction option is disabled.

"Under Construction" option is not enabled.

I've found that in wpForo > Settings > Login & Registration, after defining URLs for

Redirect After Login (my site redirects to landing page)
Redirect After Registration (my site redirects to landing page)
Redirect After Subscription Confirmation (my site redirects to Login page)

a non-member is redirected to the Login page when "Add Topic" is selected

Issue

In a themeless setup (Oxygen Builder), guests can browse forums normally, but when they click Add Topic (and I suspect try to reply too), wpForo displays:

🚧 Forum Board is Under Construction 🚧

The board is Active — the guest simply lacks permission to post. This placeholder replaces the correct permission‑denied notice.

Actual Behavior

wpForo outputs hard‑coded HTML instead of a wpForo notice:

It appears inside the fallback wrapper:

indicating wpForo is using a themeless placeholder instead of the posting form.

Expected Behavior

Guests without posting permissions should see the standard wpForo error notice:

Permission denied

The “Under Construction” placeholder should only appear when a board is actually inactive.

How to Reproduce

Use wpForo 2.x with Oxygen Builder (theme disabled).
Ensure the board is Active.
As a guest, click Start Discussion.

Likely Cause

When Oxygen disables theme templates, wpForo’s posting route can’t load its form template. Instead of falling back to the notice system, it falls back to the “Under Construction” placeholder intended for inactive boards.

Impact

Misleading UX (“Under Construction” instead of “Log in to post”)
Breaks guest posting flow
Only occurs in themeless setups (Oxygen, headless themes)

Suggested Fix

Posting routes should:

Check posting permissions first
Show the correct permission‑denied notice
Only use the “Under Construction” placeholder if the board is actually inactive
