I think it is an "either" "or" here.  Your settings is causing the 404 error.  Here's my last explanation.  </span></span></p><p><span style="color: #ff0000"><span style="color: #000000">If you use</span> WP Login</span> <span style="color: #ff0000"><span style="color: #000000">the link will go to the file</span> wp-admin.php<span style="color: #000000"> of your main website like so.<br />https: // www . YOUR WEBSITE . com/<span style="color: #ff0000">wp-admin.php<br /><span style="color: #000000">and this <span style="color: #ff0000">LogIn Page</span> has a corresponding link to the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Password Reset Page.</span></span> </span><br /></span></span></p><p>If you choose <span style="color: #0000ff">wpForo Login</span>, the link will go to: <span style="color: #0000ff">forum/?wpforo=signin </span><br /><span style="color: #ff0000"><span style="color: #000000">https: // www . YOUR WEBSITE . com/ </span></span><span style="color: #0000ff">forum/?wpforo=signin </span>which also has a corresponding<span style="color: #0000ff"> wpForo Reset page.</span></p><p><strong>This works like a "REDIRECTION".  </strong></p><p>If you have an active <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login</span>, on your HomePage you can't expect it to automatically lead to a <span style="color: #0000ff">wpForo Password Reset</span>.  Since your Forum Settings was set to YES to "<span style="color: #0000ff">Replace the URL from WP LOGIN to wpForo Login</span>"   the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login </span>on your Homepage, is not finding the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Password Reset Page. </span><br /><br /><strong>You are having the 404 because</strong> you are using a link to the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP-Login wp-admin.php</span>, on your Homepage, and if you click the reset password on it, it is not finding the corresponding <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Password Reset page</span> (since in your Forum settings, you have the YES to "<span style="color: #0000ff">Replace the LogIn page to Forum Login Page</span>".   </p><p>The <span style="color: #0000ff">YES</span> to "<span style="color: #0000ff">Replace the LogIn page to Forum Login Page</span>" <strong>will OVERRIDE</strong> the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login</span>, that is why it's leading to a 404, when you click the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login page, password reset</span> from your HomePage. </p><p><strong>If you want to get rid of the 404, then decide which LogIn Page you want to use.</strong>  You can then select the NO settings on the Forum if you want to just use the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP-Login</span> and <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Password Reset</span> pages.  </p><p>I suggested earlier to delete the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login</span> widget on your homepage because you wrote initially that you wanted to use the <span style="color: #0000ff">wpForo Login</span>.  Also, whether or not you use the <span style="color: #ff0000">WP Login</span> or the <span style="color: #0000ff">wpForo Login</span>, it leads to the same WP Dashboard.  :-) </p><p>Good luck.  </p>]]></content:encoded>

I have solved the avatar issue on ma own earlier... </p><p>I still don't get what u mean when it comes to the 404 eror page that shows on post password set. </p><p>so I leave the WP-Login widget on my home page , guess i'll choose that , what do I need to do then to get rid of the 404 ? </p></blockquote><p>Hi @moenagy.  You might be getting the 404 because your settings are confused!  :-)  Make sure that if you are using the wpForo Login URL, that you are also using the wpForo Replace Password URL.  That's why I wrote to remove the WP Login widget that you said you have on your Home Page.  </p><p>Here, I will share with you how I set up mine, just copy it and then test it again.  Don't forget to click the "Update Options" at the bottom too, after you copied my settings in the attached screenshot.  In case it still doesn't work, post your website name here, and I will take a look.  :-) </p><p> </p>
