To fix it, make sure the <code data-start="133" data-end="141">wpforo</code> folder has <code data-start="153" data-end="158">755</code> permissions and its files (like <code data-start="191" data-end="202">.htaccess</code>) have <code data-start="209" data-end="214">644</code> permissions. This allows WordPress to read them properly. You can update permissions via FTP or your hosting file manager, then try reactivating the plugin.</p>]]></content:encoded>

As I said in my ititial message, my hosting company said that wpforo was the problem and they changed the permissions to "00". Now it does not show up as a plugin. It now allows me to get back on with administrator. Until they did that, I could not get on without a critical error. </p>
<p>My hosting company sent me the error message. They said for further information contact the plugin support. Now I feel like I am playing ping pong.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Please deactivate the wpForo plugin,<span> </span><em><strong>delete it</strong></em>, then find and activate the wpForo plugin again.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000"><em>If you don't have any forums or topics, you can uninstall wpForo, <strong>delete it</strong>, and then find and install it again. The "Uninstall" button on the Dashboard &gt; Plugins admin page will delete all forums, topics, settings, and configurations.</em></span></p>

When I tried to sign back in I again got a critical error. My guess would be that activation did some things before the error that Wordpress did not like. My hosting company sent me the following;</p>
<p><span>   (13)Permission denied:  AH00529: /home2/livingi1/domains/</span><span>livinginwildwood.com/private_</span><span>html/wp-content/plugins/</span><span>wpforo/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable and that '/home2/livingi1/domains/</span><span>livinginwildwood.com/private_</span><span>html/wp-content/plugins/</span><span>wpforo/' is executable, </span></p>
<p>They claimed that WPforo plugin was the problem and changed the permissions to "00". It now bypasses.</p>
<p>After reading all of the plugin reviews, I would like to install but have no idea how to fix it.</p>]]></content:encoded>
