In our QA forum we want several custom fields to enter user data that will allow us to track who is making submissions and also be able to follow up with the user once their post has been solved. 

In our case, our app support team often submits a post for a customer. They do this under their own, internal login, but the post is actually for a customer. Without custom fields that we can use in tracking and reporting, we loose visibility of which customer needed the solution. The submission appears to come from an internal source. Eventually we can figure it out but it takes digging rather than just having a custom field of data that we could filter and export on.
