I have set the redirect after login but this makes no difference.

This is out of all settings. I hope you understand what does this option. If you use this only for displaying forum on home you're doing wrong, because this option turns off all functions of WordPress on front-end. All posts, pages and plugins will not be available on website front if you use this option.

I created a new page placed the forum tag, set the page ID, tested and the page works; but if you login.. it goes back to the ~/forum/ that does not work .. how can i fix this ?
