wpForo 1.0.2 is released, please update. This is compatible with irregular WP installations.

as I mentioned above wpForo 1.x doesn't support such irregular WP installations. I recommend use Beta-6 till the next 1.0.2 release.

I did and am using Beta-6 just asking how I can get ride of the white border around the forums

I can explain how this happened for me, I migrated to a new server on the new server wordpress became the root install but for some reason my changes to the wordpress database did not allow me to keep the wordpress files in the root so I symlinked the old install directory to the new install directory as a work around. so now my backend runs in the symlinked directory but my site works out of the base install directory.

The beta 6 worked for me but now my forum has a white boarder all the way around it that I cant seem to get ride of

Ace I'll keep an eye here then for that.

No chance of a workaround I suppose, but Beta 6 has been pretty good up till now so will be content if I can get back in to my forums :)

The 1.x versions are much more better. But unfortunately don't support WordPress's with different Site and Home URL. We'll add it in next release.

wpForo 1.x versions comes with totally different perma-structure. There is no way to use 1.x on your case yet. Please deactivate wpForo, delete files (not uninstall). Then Go to Add new plugins > Upload plugin and upload Beta-6. We'll work on your case and try to add compatibility with non-regular WP installations like yours. You can download Beta-6 here:

It has been working up till now however! Is there any advice you can give me so that I can access my forum data? can I just copy beta 6 code over again until you bring out a new version?

I'm sorry but wpForo can be used on such WP installations. WordPress site and home URL should be the same. Please deactivate wpForo and wait for future releases. We'll add this in our-to-do ...
