Enable Wordpress DEBUG TO A LOG and also wpForo debug options and after a while check for errors.

Check wpForo tools for db errors in admin wpforo dashboard.

Also when logged in check for js errors in wpforo (F12).

Hi @alias79,Β

If it's an error that says "Sorry, something wrong with your data", just advise your Forum Member to clear his mobile device's cache. (Mobile Devices have hard caches).Β  I ended up having to create a specific topic post on my forum, because I too have seen that and have lost posts.Β  (It's easy for us Admins, because we constantly do testing as well, and end up with a whole lot more cookies).

Here's a post that explains "why" that happens.Β

https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/error-message-sorry-something-wrong-with-your-data/#post-27768. Β

As far as "cleaning up the zero post", what I did in my own forum was I created another new Forum and moved the Topics with content to this New Forum, leaving the topic with zero content.Β

So for example (orange font is just an example) you have

Forum 1 -Β

Topic 1 - With Zero Content

Topic 2 - With Some Content

1) Create New Forum 2 (Forum Dashboard > Add New Forum)

2) Then go to Topic 2 - With Some Content, on the upper Right Hand corner, you will see the Gear icon, Tools, then select "Move Topic", and select the New Forum 2 you just created.Β

3) Then when you have finished moving the topics with content, likeΒ  Topic 2 - With Some Content to New Forum 2 , go back to Forum Dashboard > Forums

4) When you have double-checked that "Forum 1 - Has Topics (0) and Posts (0), then it's okay to delete it, since that, to me, was the only way I could get the "Zero Forum" from showing up on our Forum when a User encountered a glitch.Β  (It happened because he tried to test posting a website as a topic and it errored out, but created the zero post that I think you are also seeing).Β

I thought I'd share what I did here, because it's not a wpForo issue or bug, just like when there's a paper jam in our printers, it's not always the printer manufacturer's fault. πŸ™‚Β  There's user errors and glitches, too.Β  Β

It's actually handy to have these "guidelines" for our Forum Users to always clear their cache.Β  Feel free to copy and share. πŸ™‚Β

Good luck and God bless you! πŸ™‚Β

Hi @crisw ! Thanks for answer so soon! I haven't been able to see it until today πŸ™

The empty post was available to every user, the issue was not the user's cache.

The process you described to me worked, but I had 42 topics to move to the "New Forum 2", so, but I tried another way: I wrote a answer in another post, and then I moved it to the empty post with the "move answer" tool. When, I deleted this response, but the empty post was not deleted.

I tried again the same, but then I used the tool to unify the empty post with the "moved response" with another post; then, I was able to erase it without problem.

Hi @alias79 . You're welcome.Β  πŸ™‚Β

The empty post was available to every user, the issue was not the user's cache.

I know that the zero topic is viewable to everyone, once the error gets triggered.Β Β

I guess I typed up the suggestion, because I wanted to document WHY the empty post appeared in the first place, in our forum, as we have noticed (caused by user error), to avoid it from happening again. I also tried merging or moving replies, initially, but the Empty or Zero post remained in our forum. So what I initially suggested to you was what I personally did to clean it out and remove that from our Forum.Β  I know I can also remove it from the database, but I just ended up doing what I suggested to you.Β  Since it's the same issue - how do you remove a Zero Topic.Β  We also had a lot of topics in the affected forum that I had to troubleshoot and move.Β  So it was important for me to inform others in my forum, so that I don't have to do the clean up again.Β Β

If you tried to fix it using your own way, that's great if it works for you.Β  πŸ™‚Β  Also if you think this topic is resolved, you can click the "Solved" icon on your original post, so that the Support Team can close this topic.Β  (And so both you and I will not receive posts about this issue 10 years from now.Β  πŸ™‚ )Β  Β
