As for mail poet, it is NOT an smtp plugin (is it?). So you use standard SMTP out of Wordpress? yes?

I am using mailpoet and I tried this completely uninstalling the plugin also. I have noticed the following:

1.  Yes, the problem is only woth replies.

2.  I have disabled every plugins one by one and tried - Problem exists

2.  The problem is specific to only one thread which have more than 500 replies.

3. Short threads gets replied in 3-5 seconds.

4. Qna threads get replied in a fraction of second.

Unless there is some kind of error.

Do you use any smtp plugin or you use normal Wordpress sending?
