It's automated. But it's cached by wpForo Cache and the cache is updated when some activity is going on in the forum. So you'll not see changes in real-time. If you have other cache plugins, please make sure the forum page is excluded, more information: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wpforo-and-cache-plugins/

You don't need to set them off. You just need to click on button in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page. You can disable HTML cache, but all caches should be enabled.

Hello,

I have all of my caching settings turned off, but new user registrations are still not showing up on the forum statistics unless I manually clear the cache. Is this a bug or am I not doing something right?
