Download current version of wpForo to your PC
open wpforo-fr_FR.po inside the downloaded folder with poedit
click on "Update from Source"
missing language strings are updated 😉

Finally, I finished the translation using the original "phrase (sentence)" tool in the wpforo admin menu and it worked fine :)

add your files "wpforo-fr_FR.mo" and "wpforo-fr_FR.po" to the
wpForo / languages
and also
wp-content / languages / plugins
folder

i also use poedit for german language and everything is translated correctly
