Do your access permissions look similar to this for the "read only" set?

 

Also, what is the access set for guests in the top/parent category where the forum resides?

I just checked my android again, and I was logged in on my Android, so when I logged out, I can see the topics listed, but when I click the topic, it is asking me to Log in or register. The problem is still there.

  • I checked, and read-only is checked as well as can read replies.
  • I checked user groups... all look fine
  • I checked forum permissions and read-only is applied for guests.

 

Before I posted what I wrote above, I thought I would check the forum with my Android. My Android shows everything fine, so I know it is a cache problem. Grrr. embarrassing.

I know you explained Cache in another post. I am still confused. How would I specifically clear the cache for this issue?

I am not synced with WP user roles.

I have a couple of Forums where I want to allow guests to have the ability to read topics. Right now that is not possible. I do not want guests to be able to comment but just read.

What do I have to do to make that happen?
