I have managed to hide the top most forum title with "Show Forum Page Title" set to "No", but I would also like to hide the text underlined in red in the attached screenshot.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Hi @hshah,

I have managed to hide the top most forum title with "Show Forum Page Title" set to "No", but I would also like to hide the text underlined in red in the attached screenshot.

Please note there are two different titles:

1. Forum Title

2. Forum Page Title

Please see the screenshot below.

The title you want to remove is Forum title. It also appears in forum SEO title and metadata. We don't recommend to remove it. However, if you still want to remove the Forum title, navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > General admin page, remove the title you've filled in the field and just add the spaces there.

@chinese-scientist,

Please stop writing posts with upper case letters. Here is a good explanation: https://danieltitus.com/blog/advertising/237-why-all-caps-is-usually-a-bad-idea

Google reCAPCHA doesn't ask for sum of two numbers. That's a match CAPTCHA and that comes from other plugin. Please navigate to Dashboard > Plugins admin page and disable all plugins related to CAPTCHAs

Well said 🙂

@chinese-scientist

Are you familiar with CSS and using Developer Tools in the Chrome Browser to determine what you need to do?

Using this forum as an example, here is a before and after of what I did in the browser.  Obviously removing all those styles isn't what I would actually do to reduce the gap (I would apply my own CSS which overrides the others), but this should at least help you get started 🙂

You probably shouldn't be playing around with any of this then. I suggest you contract a developer to do it for you 🙂

@chinese-scientist,

I don't know what white space is that. Your explanation "the space that is left once you remove the text" says nothing me. Please leave some screenshot if you want us to help you.

how to solve this poblem?

4. Some hosting services, or some Antispam plugins try to cache emails and those are not being sent immediately. You should wait 1-30 min (e.g.: on some GoDaddy hosting plans you receive emails in 45 min).

@chinese-scientist,

So your emails are being sent in 30 minutes?

If so you should contact to your hosting service and ask them about that. This is a hosting service issue, this is not wpForo issue. The email sending server is located in Hosting Servers and configured by hosting pros.

How are they being sent? Are you using the default wpmail/phpmailer or have you configured SMTP?

When using wpmail/phpmailer I found that most emails from my site were being treated as spam, and either bouncing back or ending up in the recipient's spam folder.

I had to use SMTP to send emails and set up SPF records to ensure they weren't treated as spam.

Hi @chinese-scientist,

This topic title is not related to your email issue. Please open a new topic and provide more information. What plugin you use for emails, and do you see any issue in Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Debug > Errors & Issues admin page?

Please remember. The email is being sent by WordPress not by wpForo. The verification email has not any relation to wpForo, it's sent by WordPress. You can disable wpForo and use the WordPress native registration form to test. The native registration form can be found with this URL, make sure you're logged out and the WordPress user registration is enabled in Settings > General admin page:

yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?action=register

I'm closing this topic because of irrelevancy of the discussion to the topic title. You can open a new topic related to your new issue.
