There is no such thing like theme for wpForo, you set theme for the website pages. So what theme you set, that theme is used for all pages.

But you should know that wpForo also has theme, an old one "Classic" and the last one "2022", but those themes affect on the design of the forum and not the pages. We recommend using 2022 theme as it gets new updates, and works with wpForo 2.x version better than the old one.

I guess this is what you are looking for: Turn WordPress to this forum board. By enabling this option, you set wpForo to your homepage, so your website turns to a Forum. The option is located to Dashboard > wpForo > Boards > In the Boards Settings.

My starting point was a wordpress.com blog and just upgraded to wordpress business with the sole purpose to install a forum plug. Now that wpforo is installed, it's running inside my existing wordpress blog theme and I want to have the forum running outside such theme. I used the "full width" option on my wordpress "forums" page only with limited success. Got wide enough to display a thread but still lugs around all my blog stuff on top. Hope this question is similar enough to yours, OP. 😀
