Please note: the user registration process is under WordPress control, not wpForo. wpForo only provides with the registration form, other processes are performed by WordPress.

Currently, WordPress only allows Latin characters in the username, so it’s not wpForo but WordPress limitation.

Invalid characters in user login. Cyrillic characters (Russia and Eastern Europe) are not allowed for login. In fact, your forum cannot be used in these countries. Half of the users do not want to write a login in Latin.
