This is exactly what I need.

In my forums there is a (Q+A) private forum that is restricted to only the BoD of the organization. What I need is that any director -but not the admin (who should stay out)- nor moderators (who are kept out, directors don't want to be moderated)- can close their own topics.

Would be nice to have that permission included soon.

I'm really sorry, but wpForo doesn't have "Can close own topic" permission.

In general,  the "Can close topic" is designed for high-level users admin, moderation, etc. However, we'll take into consideration to implicate "Can close own topic" Can in future releases. 

In Settings > Forum Accesses I control all permissions to be applied for each forum.

There are for example:

Can set topic solved: checked/non checked

Can set own topic solved: checked/non checked

and...

Can close topic: checked/non checked

But there is no

Can close own topic: checked/non checked

I find this permission most convenient when you want to grant permission to close topics but limit this permission to "close own topic" only.

Is there a way to include this permission?
