We've understood the issue. This is also the CSS conflict, some of your plugins overwrite the styles for the <p> tag. Watch the video:

Add this code in "Custom CSS code" textarea, save it delete all caches do CTRL+F5 on the frontend.

I completely agree with you what the video you have presented shows the text editor showing what it should be like. The issue is the actual completed post where it does not show correctly.

I have uploaded a video and used the on screen keyboard to represent the button strokes and when i hit "add reply" there are no paragraphs created. I hope this video i have attached makes sense.

I've just updated the same link i provided before with a "shift + enter" along with a normal "enter" to see if there's a break line or a paragraph created. You'll be able to see that there's no variation.

The paragraph / spacing issue still appears present.

Just for clarity,

For us to get a normal one line of space, we need to hit return(enter) twice where as on this forum under this theme, it appears to only require one.

This is a small CSS conflict with the theme.

Please try this CSS code, add it Dashboard > Forum > Settings > Styles > "Custom CSS code" textarea. Don't forget to delete all caches and do Ctrl+F5 on forum front:

#wpforo #wpforo-wrap blockquote p:before{display:none;}

If it doesn't help leave some example URL to allow us to check it and provide some CSS solution for you. 

We've been using WPForo for a while now however changed theme recently. I have a feeling this is theme related, but before i go in and completely change our theme, i thought i'd touch base here first.

A few issues i've come across - Quotations.

Each time someone posts and quotes the previous comment, the quotation marks are huge. I've attempted to use some CSS code i've found in other topics, however these haven't worked.

Please see below as to what i mean:

The other aspect is when looking to hit return. Previously, we'd hit return once and it would drop two lines. Now, we have to hit return (enter) twice to have a gap.

Any ideas?
