After migrating from SMF to wpForo with official converter my wpForo forums are rather slow. Much slower then SMF was previously been.

I stumbled on this topic in which @Robert describes that all tables should be InnoDB instead of MyISAM. I succeeded to convert almost all tables, except the biggest ones:

  • wpforo_posts
  • wpforo_topics

When I tried to convert I'm getting this error:

#1214 - The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes

Do you have any solution to this?

Hi @power505,

You should upgrade your MySQL to the version, It should be higher than 5.6.X. Please contact your hosting service and ask them to update the MySQL version.

Please read wpForo server requirements here:  https://wpforo.com/docs/root/wpforo-installation/server-requirements/
