I don't see a "check again" button anywhere. 

The "Check again" button is located in the Dashboard > Updates admin page. See the screenshot below:

Please navigate to Dashboard > Updates admin page, click on the "Check again" button, then select the add-on and click on the "Update Plugins" button. 

I just did this and im still getting the "update package not available" warning.
