I would like to allow more characters to show for the latest posts/topics on the Recent Posts and Extended Forum Layouts (see screenshot, attached).
I can handle the CSS part of it, but I'm not sure how to allow more characters. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I'm sorry but there is no way to do this. CSS is not enough. These usernames are cut in wpForo template files. We'll add a filter hook in future versions to allow you control the max number of chars.
Did you add this filter? If yes, how can I control the max number of chars now?
Apologies for hijacking someone else's thread, but I have the same request with the added request of being able to increase the characters allowed in all the columns including when the reply was posted, who it was posted by, and importantly the amount of characters displayed for the list of replies. There is "..." after only 50 characters and I have a lot of unused white space.
I don't agree with changing plugin code, but until the filter hook has been added, I really would like to solve this temporarily myself, but after hunting around for what variables I need to change, I tried increasing 'layout_extended_intro_posts_length' => 50 in class-posts.php to no avail. Is it possible to tell me what variables/CSS I need to change? Or do you have a planned date for release of the filter hook you mention?
