When i migrated from ipboard to bbpress i didnt get the swedish characters åäö migrated correctly. I got very strange characters, but å has a spicific character and ä has another and ö has another. I have tried to change the characters by downloading a plugin called "better search replace" but it doesnt show the wpforo sql database tables. Just the old bbpress tables. Is there a easy way to get wpforo tables to show up to change the characters or do i have to change the bbpress database first before migrating to wpforo?

I think the bbPress database and table charset has not supported swedish characters. You should make sure the source and target database charset is the same.
I'm really sorry but we don't have such a deep support for iPBoard to bbPress and to wpForo migration issues. We're curently working on phpBB and MyBB to wpForo migration functions, they will be added in Go2wpForo tool next month, then we'll work on IPBoard to wpForo migration tool.
