Migrating from phpbb to wpforo, is phpbb forum altered/preserved

I'm about to migrate from PHPBB to WPforo. I'm going to run it on dev WP site first but import from live phpbb site.

When I import does the phpbb forum stay as it is so that I can test WPforo and switch over when I'm ready?

Does anything get altered on the phpbb forum?

I had to remove the plugin and re-install it again, but the table wp_wpforo_mg2wpforo table is not being created automatically. How to create it?

Hello,

I have a phpbb3 forum which I'm trying to migrate to wpforo.

I've installed the migration tool and activated it, than filled the database connections and I run the migration.

I'm stuck with the below error, because the users which are in migration are already in my wordpress site, but I cannot delete them, because they have created articles and posts.

Error: username or email already exists into our forum.

My questions is: Can I only migrate the forums, but no users, because they are already synchronized and present into the hyw_wpforo_profiles table.

The migration started beautifully and what went over looks great, but about 1/4 through the process it stopped. I no longer have the migration page open, and I'm not sure I have a backup of the empty wpforo forum database. How do I reset wpforo to empty so I can attempt the migration again? Thank you.

I have

migrated from an "old forum" in phpBB to wpforo using Go2wpForo.

It lasted nearly 3 hours.

Unfortunately at the nearly end of the process it crashes. The post migration where migrated only 15000 posts from 20000. How to migrate ONLY the 5000 remaining posts ?

Topics and replies migrated from phpbb but nothing shows

I know there's no official support for this but hoping for help from the community. I finished a success migration from an old phpbb forum and it shows 1254 posts were moved over but I don't see what they are. All forums are empty.

Is there anything I can check?

Rewrite internal links in posts

Hi folks,

we have successfully tested the migration of phpbb several times. However, there is one problem we have not been able to solve yet. In some posts there are internal links to other posts or topics, these are migrated and no longer work. Not only the link changes, but also the postId and topicId is changed.

e.g.
https://old_phpbb_board/viewtopic.php?p=23727
https://new_wpForo_board/forum/postid/2476/

Are there any solutions how to rewrite these links? Or is there after the migration a table with old and new postid and topicid, with which one could rewrite the links afterwards?

Missing avatars after phpbb3 to wpforo migration

Hi,

I successfully imported a phpbb3 standalone forum into a WordPress wpforo using Go2wpForo tool but all the image avatars are missing...

Is there a way to restore them ? (Even a manual way, I'm developer)
