Nobody says you'll get numerous issues after migration. Why you think you'll get it? Hundreds of phpBB forums are already migrated from phpBB to wpForo successfully using Go2wpForo tool.  Just try to migrate and see the result. All is free and the tool is free. You just need to install that tool and click on a few buttons. That's better than think about unreal issues.

In any case if you'll need custom migration services you can contact to gConverter or ProfProjects.
