wp-jquery-lightbox was updated last about a year + ago and tested up to wp 4.4 and support level is poor.
Good luck waiting for answers for 8 months...
Well, seems to work fine and it is only a small lightbox plugin with 90.000+ active installations.
Check Wp Super Cache (by Automattic) with 1.000.000+ installations and check their support forum. That is "good luck" for sure.

ARI Fancy Lightbox is nice also. But doesn't display much of information about the photo.
