This solution was not for the same bug as i described it. In fact i found that it is more a translation bug. The french word for joined is leading to believe the user is registered while he is not. This was inconsistant with the Anonyme label. Thus i simply disabled the Anonyme label for non-reg users. The 50 years old bug in my case in only visible for the admin so it doesn't really matter.

hi ! I do have the exact same behavior for anon users. Which doesn't really bother me since the comment is not yet moderated. However, when the comment is accepted, the anon user is displayed as registered. Obviously if the user is anon he is not registered... Is there a way to fix this ? Thanks ! @sofy thanks for the reply. However, I did not manipulate the database myself in any way other then using the wpforo GUI. The situation is that once I approve the post, the user and post data are shown correctly (so the user data does not seem corrupted..). It really looks like the query that returns the latest reply does not take unapproved post into account, but of course it could be something else...). And as for restoring a database backup. If it's a database corruption issue, I could not decide what backup to put back since I don't know at what date the data got corrupted (I didn't change anything to the database myself and the issue only happens in specific situations).    So it doesn't look like a database issue. When I tried to google the issue ("wpforo anonymous 50 years") I found multiple other wpforo forums that look like they have the same issue. Please advice on how to proceed. Thanks!

It seems when a post (of a registered user; still under spam control) is in moderation, in the forum overview the last post is displayed as "By Anonymous, 50 years ago". Is this intended behavior?

When I post a topic (I'm an admin), it comes up as 49 years ago, and it's by anonymous. A.) What am I doing wrong...and B.) how do I delete these? They aren't even clickable and I can't read the actual message - just the headline.

OK this might help someone. About 2 years ago I added wpforo to my site. My topics where not showing in Google for 2 years. I was told to check the seo settings and re-submit my sitemap. Nothing worked so i just thought Google would not show my pages in search results. The first day I installed wpforo I changed the board name from community to forums. This was about two years ago. Yesterday i changed it back from forums to the default that was community. Maybe there is a conflict when changing the name but once i done this it only took one day for all my topics to show in Google search. Hope this helps someone if they made the same mistake as me.

@dimalifragis I can't say exactly what happened because I don't really know. But, I will tell you the best I possibly can. I started my forum more than 15 years ago. I started with phpBB. But the forum grew and the maintenance was huge for me, so about 7 years ago I decided to move it to Xenforo. Everything went fine until 2 years ago that some issues came up and the support wasn't there, my forum was down for almost a month and that's when I decided to move it to wpforo. Everything was working fine until this happened. I don't know what went wrong. The thing is that visitors and registered members can't read the threads, any threads at all. But, moderators and the admins can read the threads, it's really weird. When I changed the forum to "stand alone" then everybody were able to read the threads. I don't know if I can switch that back. The only down side I see is that I can't even put a contact form anywhere. If I'm not able to fix this, I was thinking about moving the blog content to a subdomain, for example, and share the members logins between the forum and this new subdomain. I currently have about 500 members in the forum, I don't want them to create a new account. I don't know if I gave the information you need to help me with this. If not, maybe I can send you some log errors, for example, I don't know... Regards,

I'm having a problem with spam posting. I can't figure this out.Daily, people are able to post spam... however the user is not registered. I've attached my settings. This has been a chronic problem since I installed the forum - three months or so. What's notable is when I try to delete the posts (which always go to moderation); the site hangs up.
