the forum would be much more useful if you change the roles for wordpress instead of own...
I have a membership with memberpress and i have to change manually the usergroup for each member. Is not optimal, each member must acquire a role automatically when registering and I can not be 24 hours changing the role for each member as soon as they subscribe...
I think that this is basic.
I hope you change it soon, I have read a lot of other people asking for this and having inconveniences to use the roles of wpforo.

wpFOro usergroup is not just a role. It has docents of functions and features. It works close with Forum Accesses individually for each forum. This is something that can not be changed with simple WP roles. I understand this is not good if you use membership plugins but this can not be a reason to change whole Usergroup system from forum core.
We're working to find easy alternative ways to integrate wpForo with membership plugins. In next version, you'll be able to set the Default Usergroup for registered members, so they will automatically have the wpForo usergroup you need. You'll not change new registered user usergroups manually. Then we'll add Membership Plugin specific integration options. I think all issues related to membership plugins will be fixed within next 1-2 months.
