Hi there, have done a clean install of WPForo and it's throwing 404 errors on the main forum page (e.g. /community/).

So far I've done the following without any luck:

  • Resaved permalinks
  • Gone to Forums/Dashboard and cleared all cache
  • Checked for table errors (forums/tools/tables)
  • Got no other plugins apart from Askimet running

The site is running:

  • Wordpress 5.2.2
  • Plugins: Askimet
  • Theme: 2019

Don't know where to go next? I have previously had this running on a localhost with no problems. The install is here: http://103.42.110.24/~adnovatest/alpine/

It's probs going to be something very simple (I hope).

Thanks in advance

Renee

Hi @renee,

Please let us know is the "Turn WordPress to wpForo" option enabled or not?

I'd also suggest you deactivate the wpForo and activate it again.

@sofy

  • When I first got the error, I turned 'Turn WP to wpForo' on, same issue so turned it off again.
  • I have deactivated, reactivated, reinstalled and no change
  • Clean install,

Keen to show wpForo to a client this week - they will require a number of the plugins also.

Hi renee,

Did you try to test wordpess without the Wpforo plugin ?

Yes, I tested everything and nothing worked. But have now installed it on a different server and all is working perfectly!

I think the issue had something to do with running it on a temporary url using an IP address?

Thanks for your help - great plugin, easy and intuitive to setup.

I just installed the plug-in and am getting the same error.  I have done nothing wrong and there is nothing unusual about my url.  Sounds like a recently introduced bug.

Nope, works just fine.

Can/want to post a url so we can check ?
