Of course it's about Wordpress. Mailbox does not matter here, just check screenshot from GMAIL mailbox. The same thing. It's wordpress adding "<" and ">" characters at the start and in the end of link.

Ok, slow down, i'm only trying to help here.

Just did a password reset from wpForo and also got what you get. But the link works for me great, nothing seems broken. Both Gmail and Windows Thunderbird client.

Ah okay. I get this error when I try to register new account. Mailbox does not matter, I have tried 4 different mailboxes. The problem is all e-mails from WP comes with this "<>" characters near links.

@wariat I think what may be causing the issue here is the mechanism that sends the emails, and not the recipient client. Are you using the native WordPress email functionality, or a plugin such as Post SMTP ?

But there seems to be no issue with WP formating, since those "<>" is what i also get but the links open very well.

Maybe it could be a browser issue ?

I'm using only clean WP + WpForo, no more plugins related to mails.

Do I have to setup it somehow, or just install?

You'll need to configure it, but it has wizards that make the process simple. It's also very reliable.

I have installed WP Mail SMTP and the same thing happend. For now it's possible to use this link in GMAIL (but it also comes with < and >), but it's impossible to open it in different mailboxes. The same error appears: "invalid key".
