I'm putting together an online course and the course platform will only let me embed a web page in an iFrame. I'm having trouble finding a forum platform that is embeddable in an iFrame, and I'm hoping WPForo will be embeddable. It looks like it is - just want to verify.

Can anyone confirm?

wpForo is not a stand-alone forum platform, it's a WordPress plugin. If you have a separate, stand-alone WordPress installation for forum, you can install wpForo and set it on home page even using the "Turn WordPress to wpForo" option in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > General Tab. Then you can embed this forum URL in a iFrame to the main website. There should not be any problem.
