How do I change the date format on the forum posts?

The posts are showing a date 31/08/2016. I tried setting WordPress to be August 31, 2016 or 08/31/2016 it is not reflected in the forum posts.

Make sure the "Enable WordPress Date/Time Format" option is turned on in wpForo Settings > Features admin page.
