I was working on setting up the Google reCAPTCHA for my forum login/registration form when I got somewhat locked out of my backend editing abilities in WordPress.
I created a reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox and got the site & secret keys and put them into the wpforo settings. When I tested it, no checkbox showed up on the login page. So, I was trying to figure out what was wrong and I decided to delete my browsing history wondering if that would help, but it actually made it worse. I'm now blocked from being able to edit anything on my site. I'm new to website building and am just a business owner trying to create my own website. So, I'm still learning how everything works together.
Fortunately, I am still able to log in to my WordPress dashboard, but I can't do much else. No matter what I try to do - access my plugins, edit my pages, access my user roles, etc. - I am taken directly to the forum login page on my site but can't log in because it says "Google reCAPTCHA data are not submitted" when I try.
My website is www.yourenglishally.com however, I have it set to "Coming Soon" since I'm still working on it and am not ready for it to be public.
Are you able to give me instructions on how I can disable the reCAPTCHA and get access to my editing abilities again? Or is it something that Pro Support is capable of helping with? Let me know if I need to give more information or clarify anything for the situation.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give!
All is well!! 😀 I was able to figure out how to get back into my Wordpress site so that I could deactivate the wpforo plugin, reactivate it, change the settings by disabling the reCAPTCHA feature and discovered that I had previously enabled the "Replace Login Page URL to Forum Login Page URL". So I disabled that setting and will not use the reCAPTCHA for now. I'll use the E-mail Confirmation setting at registration instead.
Therefore, I am back on track and can get back to setting up my wpforo forum on my website!!
