Is it possible for frontend users to use syntax highlighting for code samples? I've tried a few plugins and none of them seem to work.
I think it works with post 'the_content' filter hook. I'd recommend pass wpForo post content through this filter. Try this instruction:
1. Create a /wpforo/ folder in your WordPress active theme folder.
2. If you use the Extended Forum Layout copy the /layouts/ folder from /wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/ directory to the /wpforo/ folder in WordPress active theme.
3. Open just copied /wpforo/layouts/1/post.php file.
4. Find this line:
<?php echo wpforo_content_filter( wpforo_kses($post['body'], 'post') ) ?>
5. Replace to this:
$post_content = wpforo_content_filter( wpforo_kses($post['body'], 'post') );
echo apply_filters('the_content', $post_content);
@Bijou, Syntax Highlighter Evolved plugin integration was discussed in the following thread including Robert's suggestion above. There was some success however special characters like ampersand, less than/grater are not handled correctly.
