I think this is your plugins conflict or wrong settings. I have tested wpForo with Comet Cache and WP Fastest Cache and not observed any problems of these plugins combinations.

   

Just did some test with Fastest Cache and you are right, it doesn't clear the home page:

 Fastest Cache

Still the problem with other cache plugins exist.

It seems that wpForo and Fastest Cache doesn't work right. During posts, subscriptions seems to crash:
