is there any way how to turn on email notifications when new private message arrive to user?
This is currently under development, we're preparing wpForo PM 1.0.1 version. It comes with User Email Notification on new PM.

It's ready. But it waits for wpForo 1.2.1 release. You can't use wpForo PM 1.0.1 with current wpForo version, it requires 1.2.1 and higher versions. We're planning to release wpForo 1.2.1 by end of this week.
