Even though I have removed the ability for everyone except admin and moderator to see when members joined, everyone can see on the page showing members list (except guests since I deactivated them from viewing members at all). I don't like this

Hi ola,

I understand your frustration—it can be confusing when you've restricted permissions but the joined date still appears publicly on the members list. The good news is that wpForo provides granular controls for this, and you likely just need to adjust the settings in the right place.

Here's the step-by-step process to fix this:

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard as an admin
  2. Navigate to wpForo > Usergroups
  3. Select each usergroup that shouldn't see the member registration date (typically "Member" or any custom groups you've created)
  4. Look for the permission labeled "Can view member reg. date" or similar phrasing
  5. Uncheck this box for each group you want to restrict
  6. Save your changes

It's important to note that you may need to check this setting across multiple usergroups—not just one. For example, if you have separate groups for "Members," "Subscribers," or other custom roles, you'll need to disable this permission for each one individually. Also double-check your admin and moderator groups if you want to keep the date visible only for those roles, as they might have this permission enabled by default.

After making these changes, clear your browser cache and log out/log back in to see the changes take effect on the members list page. If the joined date is still showing after completing these steps, it might be worth checking if there's a specific template override or if a theme customization is forcing the display. Have you verified that you've checked the permissions for all relevant usergroups, or are you seeing the date appear for a specific user type?
