[Closed] Can "Recent Topics" and "First post and replies" be unexpanded by default ?

I find I only want to see the expanded version on occasion and would prefer to see more topics or posts instead.  Screen space is limited 🙂

 

Is this possible ?

Still not convinced seeing snippets of replies to a thread is useful.  

or more importantly,   do the replies help enough to warrant taking space away from other thread titles ?

Seems unlikely.

2 situations might be worth it.

- super low traffic forums, that really only get 1 reply (usually be a site admin).

- super high traffic forums, where the replies that are shown are the ones with the most likes (not most recent replies).
