Seems like the current method is to put a Topic in this General Discussions forum with "Feature Request" somewhere in the Title. Is that correct?

But what is missing is the ability to vote and sort on which requests are popular by vote count (unless I'm missing something). That's the only thing that I'm looking for. How's it's accomplished doesn't matter to me. I'm just interested in the end result.

Well, voting a feature ... in a forum ... is not the best way for gVectors to find out what is REALLY needed for wpForo. For many reasons.

Anyway, all those i wrote are my personal opinion.

Back to the original point - an updated list (voted on or not) would help us know what is coming, perhaps roughly in what order, and stop us wasting ours and Robert's time suggesting things that have been suggested before. And there is our own wasted time. I spent nearly a whole day implementing and refining the social login on my site, only to find out two days later that wpForo were bringing it in the next release.

At this stage, any consolidated form of information on future developments and plans has to be a good thing.

We're preparing wpForo Polls addon with next wpForo 1.4.3 version. Once they are released I'll install wpForo Polls here and create such polls in according topics. This will be a good opportunity to select priority of new features.

Sweet! I spent a bunch of time last night looking for a polling/voting plugin or some kind of solution like it for my website. Glad to know that I don't need to spend anymore time on it. I'll just wait to see what you all come up with.

As you all are building wpForo Polls, you might look to this site for inspiration.

Things I like about that site:

  • You can sort by Recent and Popular ideas. Nice to have both sort options.
  • For each idea, you can choose from a list of tags that the Administrator defines. Enables you to quickly scroll through a "flat" list yet still filter if you want to.
  • In addition to voting on an idea, you can also add comments to an idea to clarify things or further refine the idea.
