I wish to show count results from a custom fields posts based on custom select box categories and custom select box options. If I upgrade to custom fields could I make a custom post like this and also be able to show results similar to your Statistics section say in descending order and individual counts based on the drop-down selection?

I'm sorry but not. The custom field addon is a user custom field addon, it doesn't have any relation to post fields. Forum posts and topics don't have custom fields and filtering options.

OK that's a shame as I love your Forum but this is fundamental to what I wish to do. Is there no way to make custom Topic fields?
