I am reviewing the functionality of this plugin to use a new install. I have a few questions please.
1.
All I see in your docs about notifications is that someone can subscribe/unsubscribe to a topic or a category, resulting I assume in the user receiving an email for every reply to that topic or every post & reply to a subscribed category. First off is that correct?

I need a forum solution that will enable users to have the option to choose from the following options: A daily summary of a category; a weekly summary of a category; a monthly summary of a category. Is this possible? And if not, is this something you would custom develop, and if so what would the rough turnaround time be?
3.
Is it possible for a member to choose to have their profile hidden? I have some members who would like to have their profile visible to other members, and others who would like to have their profile hidden.

You can subscribe to any forum or topic and get email notification from any forum and topic or even from all forums.

wpForo doesn't have such features.
Is it possible for a member to choose to have their profile hidden? I have some members who would like to have their profile visible to other members, and others who would like to have their profile hidden.
You can make all user profile hidden in Usergroup permissions, but there is no way to set a certain profile to be hidden.
