I do not want to cause incompatibilities with the wpforo plugin.

I haven't seen any incompatibility with the one i posted. I use in in 2 sites with wpForo.

Could you show me the forums where you are using this?
Sorry, i do not want to. There are several plugins that do the job, the one i posted has an extra option to show the widgets by URL filter.
Works great in all my WP sites (customer sites and mines) sitewide and in wpForo page also.
