wpForo Translation / Auto-Translate Issue

I also have a question regarding language translation in wpForo.

Current situation:

• My forum is mainly Chinese (Simplified)

• Some texts are translated correctly

• Some interface strings remain in English (e.g. menu labels, buttons, system texts)

• Using common translation plugins does not fully translate wpForo

What I want to understand:

1. What is the recommended way to translate wpForo fully?

   • WPML?

   • Polylang?

   • Loco Translate?

   • Built-in wpForo phrases system only?

2. Does wpForo support:

   • Automatic translation (Google / DeepL)?

   • Or must all strings be manually translated via
     wpForo → Phrases?

3. For a Chinese-only forum, what is the best practice to:

   • Ensure all UI text is consistent

   • Avoid mixed English / Chinese labels

   • Keep translations update-safe after wpForo updates

Goal:

• A fully localized Chinese forum

• No mixed language UI

• Minimal maintenance after updates

Any official recommendation from the wpForo team would be very helpful.
